The Celion Single-Fiber ETS actually improves network reliability. Note that the extra fiber in a dual-fiber DWDM system doesn't help; each fiber carries a single direction, and both directions are needed to have a link. Equipment reliability increases by reducing system components and thus lowering the overall failure rate. |
